Vertical Alignment

Grade 4:     Students learned when, why and where settlements and missions were established in Texas.

Grade 8:     Students will associate the geography and resource of Texas with the desire of Westward Expansion and Manifest Destiny.

Project/Product Choices (P.I.s – Performance Indicators)

1)     Design your own mission incorporating a presidio, town and ranches.  (CDC releasing Zombie preparation)

2)      Create an illustrated map showcasing the five San Antonio missions.

3)      Create a FaceBook page for each of the four missionaries.

4)     Create a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting Corpus Christi de la Ysleta and San Francisco de los Tejas.

5)     Write a letter to Spanish royalty defending the importance of San Antonio.
